Patch & Pray Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for the Patch & Pray app ("Patch & Pray"), built by ControlBytes, LLC. ("ControlBytes," "we," "us"). Each app we build handles data differently, so Patch & Pray has its own policy rather than sharing one with our other software. What data exists, and who creates it

Patch & Pray stores all progress locally on your device. This includes your player profile, category mastery records, reputation history from troubleshooting cases, your review queue, daily streak history, and unlocked glossary terms. All of it is generated by you playing the game. Patch & Pray doesn't ask for your name, email, or any other personal information to play.

Where it lives

Everything above is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's on-device SwiftData storage. Patch & Pray does not operate a server or cloud backend and does not require an account. There's no account to have in the first place.

Works fully offline

Every question, troubleshooting case, image, and audio clip ships bundled inside the app itself. Patch & Pray doesn't need an internet connection to play, and doesn't make network requests in the background.

No ads, no analytics, no data sale

Patch & Pray contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking libraries. There's nothing to sell or share, because the app never collects anything that identifies you.

Data retention and deletion

Your progress stays on the device until you reset it or delete the app. Settings includes a genuine "Reset All Progress" option that clears every statistic, rank, mastery record, and streak and starts fresh; deleting the app itself removes everything Patch & Pray stored (standard iOS behavior for local app data). Because ControlBytes never receives a copy, there's nothing on our end to separately delete.

In-app purchases

Patch & Pray does not currently include any in-app purchases. If a future version adds an optional one-time unlock for additional content, purchases would be handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit, standard for any iOS app, and this policy will be updated first.

Children's privacy

Patch & Pray is not directed at, or intended for use by, children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes (including if Patch & Pray adds in-app purchases, cloud sync, or other features in the future), this page will be updated and the "Effective" date above will change accordingly.
