This is the privacy policy for the ControlBytes website (controlbytes.com), operated by ControlBytes, LLC. ("ControlBytes," "we," "us"). It covers only the website. Each app we build handles a different kind of data in a different way, so each one has its own dedicated privacy policy rather than sharing this one.

This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising scripts. It's a set of static pages. Nothing runs in the background collecting data about your visit.

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, the information you share (name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project) is used only to respond to you. The contact form simply sends your message to us as an email; the website does not keep a copy or build a database of messages. To limit spam, the form briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) record of your connection so it can cap how many messages come from one source in an hour. We don't sell your information, rent it, or share it with third parties, and we don't add you to a mailing list without asking first.

If we ever change that (for example, by adding analytics to understand site traffic), this policy will be updated first, and any tool we add will be chosen with privacy in mind.
